Why Nominated: Kevin was nominated by his former principal and Intermediate Unit colleagues who said, "Over the course of his career, Kevin McKee has always strived to be the best possible educator he could be. His continuous desire to learn while accepting new challenges has permeated to his classroom and the students whose lives he touches on a daily basis. Mr. McKee was essential to the success of the IU1 Fab Lab initiative as he has spent countless hours learning machinery and curriculum - not only to teach his students, but to also train the teachers at the Colonial School. On behalf of the entire IU1 administration, we applaud Mr. McKee's efforts and are elated to see him receive this prestigious award.
