Former Steelers linebacker Levon Kirkland will be enshrined into the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame.
Kirkland was the Steelers' No. 2 pick in the 1992 NFL Draft out of Clemson University, and played for the team from 1992-2000.
He was a two-time All-Pro selection, selected to the Pro Bowl twice, and was the Steelers' team MVP twice. He was also named to the NFL's 1990s All-Decade Team.
Kirkland, who was a nominee for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 but didn't make the semifinalist list, played a total of 11 seasons in the NFL, finishing with 1,029 tackles, including six seasons with 100 plus tackles.
A native of Lamar, S.C., Kirkland was named to Clemson's All-Centennial team in 1996 and inducted into the Clemson University Hall of Fame in 2001, and the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.
The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony will take place on April 20 in Greenville, South Carolina.
