*PITTSBURGH — *The Steelers will introduce their 2009 first-round draft pick,DE Ziggy Hood*, to local media on Monday, April 27 at noon at Steelers headquarters at the UPMC Sports Performance Complex.
 
Hood, the first defensive lineman selected by the Steelers in the first round since 2001, was chosen with the 32nd overall pick in the first round out of Missouri. He was a consensus All-Big Twelve Conference first-team selection and an Academic All-Big Twelve second-team choice as a senior in 2008.
 
Hood will join all Steelers rookies and veterans next weekend, May 1-3, for the team's mandatory minicamp.
