Steelers linebacker James Harrison was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Steelers 28-20 win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
Harrison applied pressure on Lions quarterback Dante Culpepper all day and came away with three sacks for a loss of 24 yards. He also added a forced fumble. Harrison was tied for the team lead with eight tackles in the game, seven of them solo stops.
After the game Harrison was asked about the Steelers pass rush, which resulted in a total of seven sacks.
"We had it going today and our guys did the job," said Harrison.
Harrison leads the Steelers with six sacks and four forced fumbles for the season. He is fourth in tackles with 21.
