JAMES HARRISON
Outside Linebacker
The Steelers needed somebody to make a play late in their game against the Colts, a game where they built a 10-0 lead only to have to claw back to a 13-13 tie. James Harrison stepped up with a strip/sack of Curtis Painter that Troy Polamalu returned 16 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter that gave the Steelers a 20-13 lead.
Harrison, who also led the team with seven tackles including two for loss, is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.
Also considered were Polamalu, who had three tackles, two quarterback pressures and wo passes defensed in addition to his touchdown; Mewelde Moore, who contributed significantly to the winning field goal drive both running and receiving; Mike Wallace, who turned in another 100-yard receiving game including an 81-yard touchdown; and Shaun Suisham, who bounced back after missing a 36-yard field goal in the third quarter to kick the game-winner with four seconds left in the fourth quarter.
