Will JohnsonFullback/Tight End6-2, 238West Virginia 4th YearWho is your football mentor or inspiration?
It would be my brother who introduced me to the game, Jamison Gilmore. He is my biggest role model. He has been there since I was a little kid. He has always been there. Now that I am married my wife Jessica and my family.
What motivates you?
Knowing my background, where I came from and how I got here. I am motivated by my family, my wife and future kids. That is what keeps me going. I have an opportunity to take care of my family and do something I love to do.

What is your football mindset?**
I want to be great and I know as an NFL player our windows are so short for us to leave our mark on the game and do something great. It's a short amount of time and I want to make the most of it while I am here. Hopefully I can be a legend, and leave a mark on the game that my kids will know about it, have fun and play for the Lord. Why do you play football?
Because I love it. You can't last in this game if you don't love it. They will weed you out fast. What is your proudest football moment or memory?
A lot of people don't know this, but my first preseason game was my first NFL game I went to. Running out of the tunnel against the Eagles, I remember it. It was one of my finest moments. What was that like for you?
It was unbelievable. It was such an adrenaline rush. I felt so blessed I wanted to cry. It was fun to be out there with my family in the stands. What teammate has made the biggest impression on you?
There isn't just one. It would be as Coach (Mike) Tomlin calls them, the '08ers. It is Ben Roethlisberger, James Harrison, Troy Polamalu and Ike Taylor. Watching those guys, how hard they work, how close they were and family. The work ethic they put in inspired me to be better. When you hear Steelers football, what do you think?
Smash mouth football. Hard hitting football. You think about the good old days from the 1970s with the Steel Curtain, but that is still around. Coach Tomlin keeps that physical mentality and I think that is one thing I always think about the Steelers. What do you like about Pittsburgh?
The food. There is great food here. I also love the fans. They are fans of the teams whether it's the Steelers, Pirates or Penguins. Everyone loves the teams and is loyal.* *
