Terrish Webb Safety Pittsburgh Rookie
Who is your football mentor or inspiration?
I would have to say my mother, Tinisha Webb. She acts like a coach when I am on the field. She watches every play that I am in and critiques me. I feel like she is my biggest motivator to do well on the field. She tries to focus on the negative.
What motivates you?
I would say my mom again. Being a single mother, you can see the struggle most of the time. **
What is your approach to football? **
To be an aggressor. At a young age they taught us hit or be hit. I try to be the one making the hit.
Why do you play football?
I love it. I have been doing it since I was five. When you are out there on the field you are getting away from everything, all of the problems, all of the troubles. You just get to play. * When did you start to dream about playing in the NFL?*
When I was real young. Seeing other guys play. One of my favorite players was Sean Taylor. Seeing him out there, with his passion, it motivated me to want to play. ** * What is your proudest football moment or memory? *
Thus far I would say signing as a free agent with the Steelers. This is what kids dream of. I feel blessed to have this opportunity.
What was it like to share being signed here with your mom?
She was ecstatic when I got that call. Being a hometown kid and getting to play for my hometown team, it's amazing. * When you hear Steelers, what do you think?*
Blue collar, hard core, passionate football team.
