The following is the latest installment of Getting To Know, a chance to learn a little more about Steelers' players who were added to the roster over the last few years.

How Acquired: Free Agent 2013
Football Mentor/Inspiration: I didn't know him personally but growing up in Minnesota I looked up to John Randle. He was an All-Pro defensive lineman. It was just his tenacity. He was undersized. People didn't think too highly of him when he came into the league but he never quit. He had a great work ethic.
Proudest Football Moment/Memory: The first day I walked into this door. It was a dream come true becoming a Steeler.
Favorite Teammate: My junior year in college I was injured and didn't play and my defensive line was really there for me, so I would say that group.
Initial NFL Attraction: It's fun. It's a game and when you start as a kid you are playing with all of your friends in your area. As you keep going it's the same game. It doesn't change. The field is still 100 yards long.
Football Mindset: Just work. Keep on working on things. You might not get it the first day, you might not get it the second day, but if you correct your mistakes you keep on getting better over time.
Impression of Pittsburgh: It's a phenomenal city. The people here are amazing, the fans are amazing and the organization is amazing.
Perception of Steelers: The team is known for rolling up your sleeves and going to work and the more I have been here the more I see that reputation does hold true.
Goals/Aspirations for 2014: It's a team goal, to hold up the Lombardi Trophy and be Super Bowl Champions. I think anything other than that would be a disappointment.
Career Goals: Play as long as I can and have as much fun as I can with my teammates.
