Free health screening event held

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL Player Care Foundation held a two-day health screening event over the weekend for any of the team's former players interested in participating.

On May 31 and June 1, medical professionals offered each participant a comprehensive series of free, private and confidential state-of-the-art cardiovascular screenings, prostate cancer education and screenings, and mental health counseling and resource services.

On Saturday, Dr. Joseph Maroon, Vice Chairman of the UPMC Neurosurgery Department, did a presentation titled, "Neurological Issues in Retired NFL Players."
