James Harrison on performance of young players vs. Vikings:"They did all right. A lot of it was nerves. For the first game, we still have four more preseason games to really get a grip of what went on. They did all right with some things, they need to improve with others."

Linebacker Vince Williams on defensive coordinator Keith Butler: **"Not too much has changed. There are some wrinkles in there, everybody has to have their own type of personality that is going to come out in their play calling. For the most part everything is the same."
Safety Will Allen on Shamarko Thomas:"He is doing well. He is learning pretty quickly. He is figuring out the small nuances the more and more reps he gets. He is eager to learn and doing pretty good."
Defensive end Cam Heyward on the progress of the line:"I am seeing better technique. Some of the younger guys have grown in the last year. We just have to continue to take the next step."
Linebacker Arthur Moats on rookie linebacker Bud Dupree and Anthony Chickillo:"You want to see that hunger in them and how motivated they come out every day. Training camp be hard for a rookie from a mental and physical standpoint. We all want to help each other out."
