*PITTSBURGH —Fans can kick off Labor Day Weekend and enjoy four straight days of great food and entertainment at theCoors Light Fifth Annual Kickoff and Rib Fest. The festival runs from Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 on the North Shore.
The weekend includes four days of football, ribs and rock-n-roll with free admission to all festival grounds and concerts.
Friday is highlighted by a free concert by The Clarks, while Pitt football entertains Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon at Heinz Field. On Saturday night, Night Ranger will perform a free concert. On Sunday evening, fans have the chance to meet the Star Wars characters and also listen to a free concert by Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
The event concludes on Monday with the 20th Annual Gatorade/Steelers 5K Race in the morning and a free concert by Bad Company in the afternoon. There will be activities for kids throughout the weekend by Mike The Balloon Guy.
Sponsors for the four-day event include WDVE-FM, KDKA-TV, TUMS, Coors Light, MasterCard, Big Machine Records, U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, Cricket, Ticketmaster and Kingsford.

• Free Concerts:
• The Clarks, 9 p.m.
Opening Act: Tres Lads, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, August 30:
• Festival Grounds are open free to the public.
• No Steelers Experience
• Pitt vs. Bowling Green (ESPNU), Noon
• Charge for tickets to enter the stadium; regular Pitt Gameday activities.
• Free Concerts:
• Night Ranger, 9 p.m.
Opening Act: Shari Richards, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 31:
• Steelers Experience, Noon – 8 p.m.
• Meet the Star Wards Characters (Art Rooney Jr. Ave.), 4 – 7 p.m.
• Free Concerts:

Opening Act: Jill West & The Blues Attack, 7:30 p.m.
