The Steelers have placed rookie cornerback Curtis Brown(knee)* *on their Reserve/Injured List, the team announced today.
Brown, the Steelers' third-round draft pick in 2011 from the University of Texas, saw action in 12 games this season. Brown excelled on special teams, recording a team-high 15 special teams tackles.
Replacing Brown on the active roster will be rookie running back John Clay.
Clay, an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Wisconsin, has been on the Steelers' practice squad all season. Clay finished with 57 yards rushing in the preseason, which was third-best on the team.
Clay will wear No. 38.
