The Steelers play their fourth straight AFC North game on Sunday when they host the Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium.
It will be a rematch of the Week 12 game, which the Browns won, 24-19, on Thursday Night Football.
The Steelers are coming off a 44-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals this past week, while the Browns are coming off a Monday night loss to the Denver Broncos.
"Obviously a short week going into Pittsburgh," said Coach Kevin Stefanski. "Just played these guys a couple weeks ago, so that's the unique piece of this for both teams. So, a division team that we know well, they know us well and having just played them.
"It won't be the same. You don't pick up where you left off. There's going to be adjustments that they make, adjustments that we make. There are guys that will play in this game that weren't available previously and vice versa.
"So, we have to really go to school on them again, have a good week of practice and then go on the road and try to find a way to win."
The Browns weighed in on this week's game, as well as talking about Russell Wilson, Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and more.
* * *
Coach Kevin Stefanski on what it is about Coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers that they can play so many varieties of football:
"I think the big thing with the Steelers, certainly this season, is they're doing a great job of taking care of the ball on offense and taking it away on defense. I believe they're plus 15 this season and that allows you to be in position to win a lot of games in the fourth quarter. So, I think that's the biggest piece of it.
"And then it's the NFL. You're going to be in a variety of different games. There are going to be the high scoring games. There are going to be the low scoring games. And setting yourself up with that turnover margin I think is most important."
Linebacker Jordan Hicks on Russell Wilson and how he fits with Steelers:
"He's doing a great job taking what defenses give, seeing it. Taking care of the ball. Russ, for a long time, has been dynamic in his ability to use his legs and extend plays. He's making all the throws. He's seeing all his matchups and taking the ones he likes.
"They've got good playmakers over there. The biggest thing I see is he is making good decisions. Not turning the ball over. Trying to take what defenses give him."
Stefanski on what he saw from Wilson in their first meeting this season:
"Obviously a great player. They're utilizing him in a way that's conducive to his skill set. He has a great deep ball. He gets the ball out of his hands in the quick game, makes great decisions. You have to rush him really well and stay in lane with lane discipline because he's athletic, he can break the pocket and make plays. So, really requires you to play with great discipline."
Hicks on how to prevent Wilson's deep ball from hurting them:
"Execution. It's execution. It's understanding personnel, who they are, what they like to do. And we have to make plays. If you make plays when your opportunity comes, those are the teams that usually win."
Stefanski on what makes Wilson such a good deep ball thrower:
"I don't know. I've seen it. I think I mentioned before, I was fortunate to coach in the Senior Bowl in whatever his year was, maybe 2012 and he threw a great deep ball back then. I mean, Russell has really, really big hands. That ball looks small in his hands. That may contribute to it. He's a baseball player so he's always had a great stroke and how the ball comes out of his hand, but that's always been a natural part of his game."
Quarterback Jameis Winston on the Steelers ability to force turnovers:
"Just having a heightened awareness. This is a great team, this is a great defense. Just having a high heightened awareness when I'm in the pocket and just going out there and just playing. I love this game and it's more about the game and just snapping and clearing and having fun and going out there and doing what God has blessed me to do. Not worrying about the opponent. It's a faceless opponent. It's the Pittsburgh Steelers and they're a good defense, but every week it's a faceless opponent. Like, how can I be the best version of myself for this team?"
Hicks on what he sees from Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren:
"Physical and physical. They're both downhill, they're both strong backs. They are a run first offense. They like to hand those guys the ball. Going against these guys, it's a different mentality and you have to buckle up."
Stefanski on how helpful it is to play the Steelers again so soon:
"I think both teams have the same advantage, if you will, having played each other so recently with one game in between. For the coaches, obviously there's less tape to break down and pull apart and study and those type of things. They will be different than how we played them both in terms of their players. There will be guys back from injury, likewise with us. So, it will be different. It always is, even when you have these games as close together, there's always some small, sometimes big adjustments that both teams will make."
Winston on the Steelers-Browns rivalry after his first experience in the rivalry two weeks ago:
"I know it's going to be an amazing game. One, because they have great players and two, they have an excellent head coach who's been here before and knows about protecting their house. So, we're going to have to go in there with our excellent head coach and be ready and be more prepared than that Pittsburgh Steelers team."
Assistant Head Coach/Special Teams Coordinator Bubba Ventrone on where Cordarrelle Patterson ranks on the list of returners he has coached against:
"Very high. Very high. He's an incredible player, has had a ton of production. I think he has the most kick return touchdowns in NFL history. Strong runner, really good speed, tough. Yeah, he's the real deal."
Stefanski on linebacker Nick Herbig and what he sees from him:
"He's a very good player. We understand his talent. Another guy that has unique ability to rush the passer, can bend really well, can get to the quarterback and then plays with tremendous effort."
Ventrone on what kind of weapon kicker Chris Boswell is:
"Boswell's done a good job in his career. He's had a nice career. It's a tough place to kick. I know at one point in that, being from Pittsburgh, and having followed the Steelers for a long time, at one point, there wasn't a lot of kicks in that stadium that were made over 50 yards. He's done a really good job this year, obviously, hitting a high percentage of his kicks overall and then obviously he's had a bunch of kicks over 50 this year.
"But he's done a great job for them and there's been a lot of games where, especially early in the season where they weren't scoring a lot of touchdowns, and a lot of their points were coming off of his foot. And they won a few games with, I think, six field goals in two games from what I remember. He's a good player and obviously you want to have consistency there."
Stefanski on receiver George Pickens ability to make big plays:
"Having faced him a bunch of times now, last few years, he's a challenge in the pass game. He's a contested catch player where he's always open.
"The quarterback always feels like he's open. He can throw it into coverage, and they feel like he's going to come down with the ball. They've expanded his routes and where he's running them, how he's running them throughout this offense this season. So, he's a very big challenge. You have to understand where he is at all times."
