Kicker Chris Boswell broke his own franchise record when he hit a 37-yard field goal in the first quarter of the Steelers game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Boswell now has 37 field goals this season, surpassing his own franchise record of 36 field goals set in 2021.
Boswell, who is having one of his best seasons ever, has connected on 37 of 40 field goals this season as of the record-setting field goal.
In addition, with his two field goals and his extra point, Boswell surpassed his own team record for most points scored in a single season in Steelers history. He currently has 144 points this season, surpassing his old record of 142.
And he isn't the only one breaking records today. Outside linebacker T.J. Watt set a franchise record with 33 career forced fumbles, the most forced fumbles in team history since 1994, when they became an official NFL stat.
Watt punched the ball out from Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in the first quarter and nickelback Beanie Bishop recovered.
Watt surpassed linebacker James Harrison, a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025, who has 32 career forced fumbles.
Watt, who with two sacks in the first half today, has 11.5 sacks this season. He has registered 10 plus sacks in six different seasons, which is also a new franchise record.
