Bell among the best

The countdown of the "Top 100 Players of 2016" continues on NFL Network, and Steelers' running back Le'Veon Bell made the list.

The most recent show revealed the players ranked No. 41-50, and Bell was ranked No. 41. The Top 100 list is based on voting by current NFL players.

Bell's 2015 season was cut short by a knee injury. He played in only six games, rushing for 556 yards on 113 carries and three touchdowns. In his three seasons Bell has carried the ball 647 times for 2,777 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Bell expects to be ready to go for the 2016 season, even though he is taking it slow this time of year.

"Right now, I am just trying to do what the coaches tell me to do," said Bell. "They are trying to protect me from myself. I am listening to those people, taking care of my body, doing what I can. They are getting me back into it slowly. Right now, I feel like I could do everything. But obviously, they are going to protect me from myself, like I said, and really take it slow for me."

This is the second straight year Bell was voted to the list, despite finishing both seasons on injured reserve. Last year Bell was ranked No 16.

This is the sixth straight year players have voted on the Top 100 players in the NFL for a series that is currently airing every Wednesday on NFL Network. Defensive end Cameron Heyward was already announced as a member of the list at No. 88.
