Archer and Moore ruled out for Thursday's game

It's a relatively healthy outlook for the Steelers as they prepare to take on the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday night.

Running back Dri Archer has been ruled out this week with an ankle/foot injury suffered against the Browns, while Lance Moore (groin) will miss his second straight game.

Cornerback Brice McCain (groin) and rookie receiver Martavis Bryant (shoulder) both returned to practice this week after missing the season opener against the Cleveland Browns and are listed as probable for the game.

"It felt good to get back out there with the team, having fun and just working hard," said Bryant. "I'll hopefully get a chance (to play), but everything is up to Coach (Mike) Tomlin so I am going to just hope for the best. I feel good."

McCain is looking forward to his first regular season game in a Steelers uniform after being signed this offseason, and having it be against a divisional rival like the Ravens makes it even better.

"It felt good to practice. I am good," said McCain. "I am ready, first game, I am excited. I want to stay healthy at the same time so I feel good about it.

The Pittsburgh Steelers prepare for the game against the Baltimore Ravens.

"It's always good to play in primetime, plus the rivalry between us and them is big so I am excited."

With Archer out, fullback Will Johnson will be the team's third running back behind Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount.

"That's why you saw him get a carry in the preseason," said offensive coordinator Todd Haley. 'We would have liked to have gotten him a couple more. He's had some carries over the last couple of years. He has proved to be a competent runner that is a big back. He has good vision. He has to find the same holes when he's playing the fullback position. He is obviously a pretty nifty and athletic guy. It's not a bad emergency plan."
