A time to say 'Thank You' to the fans

The seats might be empty at Heinz Field on Sunday when the Steelers host the Indianapolis Colts because of COVID-19 guidelines in Pennsylvania, but that doesn't mean Steelers Nation won't be in the hearts of the entire organization.

As has been the tradition for the final regular season home game each year, the team is celebrating their 'Thank You Fans' game on Sunday, Dec. 27, a way to show appreciation for all of the support. It will be a little bit different this year, but the sentiment will be the same – the Steelers love their fans.

The team created a special feature, presented by the Neighborhood Ford Store and hosted by Missi Matthews, filled with some of the best social media reactions from the season. Fans can watch the program, which will air pregame on Sunday at 11 a.m. on Steelers.com, the Steelers mobile app, as well as the Steelers Nation Unite Facebook and Twitter handles.

Earlier this year the Steelers announced their 2020 Hall of Honor Class, which was once again loaded with legends who have played the game.

The members of the class all had one thing in common – defensive standouts – including James Farrior, Greg Lloyd, Troy Polamalu, Mike Wagner and Dwight White.

Due to the pandemic, the team plans to hold a formal induction ceremony in 2021. However, to help honor the 2020 class, the team will air a special Hall of Honor program, presented by U.S. Steel and in association with Giant Eagle, at halftime on Sunday.

Close teammates and friends of the members of the class shared stories on the Class of 2020, and they will all be part of the halftime program hosted by Stan Savran, which can be watched on Steelers.com, the Steelers mobile app, as well as the team's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
