What to keep an eye on in preseason game No. 2 against the Jaguars:
FIRST THINGS FIRST: All healthy players will play, even if it's only for a handful of snaps in some cases. The first-team offense might not need more than that.
**
GETTING HIS KICKS:** K Garrett Hartley will be in uniform and he'll be taking his first in-game steps as Shaun Suisham's replacement.
THE MORE YOU CAN DO: Rookie CB Doran Grant played a lot of special teams against Minnesota. The Steelers intend to see how he plays defense against Jacksonville.
LEARNING CURVE: Young players will be expected to make the "necessary adjustments" from preseason game No. 1 to preseason game No. 2. "You know, like 'catch the ball,'" head coach Mike Tomlin advised. Some of the adjustments might be a little more technical than that. But some will be just that simple.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Hall-of-Fame Game was supposed to be a neutral-site environment, but it wound up involving a relatively short bus ride to play a home game. This time the Steelers are getting on a plane and this time they'll be playing in somebody else's home stadium.
SITUATIONAL FOOTBALL: The Steelers weren't as good as the Vikings in the red zone and in goal-to-go efficiency, and they committed more turnovers than the Vikings in preseason game No. 1. The Steelers were also a highly-penalized football team. So there's some stuff to clean up.
