The Steelers announced highlights for the team's home games at Heinz Field for this upcoming 2016 season.
- Preseason Week 1: August 12 vs. Detroit:Play Football Month and Youth Football themes, and a post-game fireworks show.
- Preseason Week 2: August 18 vs. Philadelphia:Play Football Month and Youth Football themes.
- Week 2: September 18 vs. Cincinnati:Home opener and Kickoff Weekend events.
- Week 4: October 2 vs. Kansas City:Play 60 game.
- Week 5: October 9 vs. N.Y. Jets:Breast Cancer Awareness/Crucial Catch game, and the team will also don its 1934 throwback uniforms.
- Week 7: October 23 vs. New England:Alumni Weekend.
- Week 10: November 13 vs. Dallas:Salute to Service game.
- Week 13: December 4 vs. N.Y. Giants:Punt, Pass & Kick game.
- Week 16: December 25 vs. Baltimore:Christmas Day game with special fan giveaways.
- Week 17: January 1 vs. Cleveland:"Thank you Fans" tribute, providing fans with great gifts and unique Steelers experiences.
