Triple Take Mock Draft 1.0

The Triple Take team of Mike Priusta, Dale Lolley and Matt Williamson have released Mock Draft 1.0.

Williamson's Pick: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
Analysis: Chisel this one in stone. Lawrence is going to Jacksonville as the cornerstone of their rebuild.

Lolley's Pick: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
Analysis: A no-brainer. Lawrence will go No. 1.

Prisuta's Pick: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
Analysis: It's going to be more of a coronation more than it will be a first-overall selection, and a long-awaited infusion of hope in Jacksonville. Urban renewal is off and running.

Williamson's Pick: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
Analysis: This draft really starts with the second overall pick and Wilson looks like the best quarterback from a scheme fit perspective in New York's new offensive attack.

Lolley's Pick: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
Analysis: He brings accuracy to the position.

Prisuta's Pick: Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU
Analysis: Chase Manhattan is already a well-established brand. The J-E-T-S-Jets-Jets-Jets play in a different state, but "Ja'Marr Jersey" still has a chance to catch on.

Williamson's Pick: Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU
Analysis: The best way to help Tua Tagovailoa is to get him weapons and Chase is simply a premier prospect.

Lolley's Pick: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
Analysis: The Dolphins took Austin Jackson in the first round last year, now get the best tackle in this year's draft to bookend with him.

Prisuta's Pick: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
Analysis: Who better to support a Heisman Trophy-finalist quarterback from Alabama than a Heisman Trophy-winning wide receiver from Alabama? Roll Tide.

Williamson's Pick: Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State
Analysis: Atlanta rarely picks this high in the draft and uses that opportunity to take their quarterback of the future in Fields, who gets to sit and learn behind Matt Ryan.

Lolley's Pick: Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State
Analysis: The Falcons get a young quarterback with upside who hails from Georgia.

Prisuta's Pick: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
Analysis: The Falcons have bigger issues than quarterback, but first they'll address what life will eventually be like without Matt Ryan.

Williamson's Pick: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
Analysis: The Bengals simply can't allow Joe Burrow to be exposed to the type of punishment he received as a rookie and Sewell is as good of an offensive tackle prospect as you will find.

Lolley's Pick: Rashawn Slater, OL, Northwestern
Analysis: He can play anywhere on the line. And the Bengals need help everywhere on their line.

Prisuta's Pick: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
Analysis: The Bengals got their quarterback last year, now it's time to get him some much-needed protection.

Williamson's Pick: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama
Analysis: Waddle is incredibly dangerous and could be used in so many ways to make Jalen Hurts' life easier.

Lolley's Pick: Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU
Analysis: The Eagles get young Jalen Hurts a big, target in the draft's best wide receiver.

Prisuta's Pick: Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State
Analysis: They're gonna name a sandwich after Fields someday at Pat's King of Steaks, or maybe a bottomless milkshake ("Strawberry Fields Forever").

Williamson's Pick: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
Analysis: The Lions could have gone quarterback but decide to give Jared Goff a shot this year and add a top receiver instead.

Lolley's Pick: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama
Analysis: Waddle is explosive but a little on the smaller side. But the Lions need receiver help.

Prisuta's Pick: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
Analysis: New head coach Dan Campbell assessed the organization as battered and bruised. Farley can cover, we'll find out soon enough how good he is at biting off kneecaps (figuratively, I think).

Williamson's Pick: Tre Lance, QB, North Dakota State
Analysis: Lance lands in a great situation to ease into the Panthers starting quarterback job behind Teddy Bridgewater.

Lolley's Pick: Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida
Analysis: The Panthers will try hard to get a QB in free agency or via trade. Pitts will add another big target.

Prisuta's Pick: Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida
Analysis: The Panthers make a historic selection, the first offensive player taken in the Matt Rhule era.

Williamson's Pick: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
Analysis: Big cornerbacks with Farley's athletic traits rarely last this long in the draft. Denver gladly grabs him with the ninth spot.

Lolley's Pick: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
Analysis: The Broncos take the first cornerback, though Trey Lance would be tempting.

Prisuta's Pick: Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama
Analysis: If free agent cornerback A.J. Bouye proves to be one-and-done in Denver, the secondary will have to be replenished. It might have to be even if Bouye stays.

Williamson's Pick: Patrick Surtain, CB, Alabama
Analysis: The draft grades on Farley vs. Surtain isn't too much different and Dallas needs help everywhere on their defense.

Lolley's Pick: Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama
Analysis: The Cowboys need to rebuild their defense, starting with the corner position.

Prisuta's Pick: Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern
Analysis: Everything's bigger in Texas, including the Cowboys' offensive line woes.

Williamson's Pick: Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida
Analysis: The Giants really need another play making receiver and while Pitts is listed as a tight end, he is really just a huge mismatch that gives defenses nightmares.

Lolley's Pick: Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan
Analysis: A highly talented player who didn't live up to his athleticism at Michigan. But the athleticism is there.

Prisuta's Pick: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama
Analysis: No DeVonta Smith on the board? No problem, there's more where he came from.

Williamson's Pick: Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami
Analysis: The 49ers went to the Super Bowl two years much on the back of an elite defensive front. Rousseau helps get them back to that level on the opposite side of Nick Bosa.

Lolley's Pick: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State
Analysis: Lance has played just one game in over a year and has never faced a Power-5 team. But he's talented.

Prisuta's Pick: Kwity Paye, DE, Michigan
Analysis: The defensive line isn't what it used to be in San Francisco. Time for new coordinator DeMeco Ryans to follow an old path back to prominence.

Williamson's Pick: Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern
Analysis: Offensive line is far and away the Chargers top priority and a great prospect in Slater fell right into their lap.

Lolley's Pick: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech
Analysis: The Chargers get a true left tackle to protect Justin Herbert.

Prisuta's Pick: Alijah Vera-Tucker, OG, USC
Analysis: There are a lot of moving parts to deal with up front this offseason. There's also a need to get better up front.

Williamson's Pick: Kwity Paye, DE, Michigan
Analysis: Paye has loads of ability and would team with Danielle Hunter to give the Vikings a very threatening pair of edge pass-rushers that was desperately missing last year.

Lolley's Pick: Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas
Analysis: The Vikings need to get better up front. Cosmi is rising fast.

Prisuta's Pick: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech
Analysis: The Vikings might have to address guard and offensive tackle in free agency and the draft, perhaps in that order.

Williamson's Pick: Mac Jones, QB, Alabama
Analysis: Bill Belichick will get the scoop on Jones from Nick Saban and the Patriots could go back to a Tom Brady-like style of play with the cerebral Jones directing traffic.

Lolley's Pick: Mac Jones, QB, Alabama
Analysis: No sixth-round pick here on the QB position. The Patriots are in dire need here.

Prisuta's Pick: Micah Parsons, ILB, Penn State
Analysis: The search for Tom Brady's successor continues. In the meantime, re-stock the defense.

Williamson's Pick: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina
Analysis: The Cardinals could go a lot of different directions but cornerbacks with Horn's skillset aren't easy to come by and that is certainly a position of need.

Lolley's Pick: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina
Analysis: Horn fills some holes in the secondary.

Prisuta's Pick: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
Analysis: If the Cardinals upgrade at running back perhaps Kyler Murray won't have to run as much as he does.

Williamson's Pick: Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State
Analysis: Las Vegas will be looking to upgrade their defense this offseason and a supreme talent like Parsons could help that project quite a bit.

Lolley's Pick: Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State
Analysis: The Raiders need to get better everywhere on defense. Parsons helps.

Prisuta's Pick: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, ILB, Notre Dame
Analysis: Sounds like a name Jon Gruden will take delight in repeating over and over, doesn't it? And the defense could use all the help it can get.

Williamson's Pick: Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa
Analysis: Miami covets versatility from their front seven defenders and Collins epitomizes that with his ability to help in so many ways.

Lolley's Pick: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
Analysis: The Dolphins passed on a WR early to take a tackle. And they get a nice pickup in Smith.

Prisuta's Pick: Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
Analysis: Etienne will wind up on the receiving end of a lot of Tua's passes, too.

Williamson's Pick: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida
Analysis: Toney is an extremely dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands, which is exactly the type of addition Washington's offense needs opposite Terry McLaurin.

Lolley's Pick: Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU
Analysis: A big, physical wide receiver to play opposite Terry McLaurin.

Prisuta's Pick: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State
Analysis: Another team that might be a quarterback away, although Lance might not be plug-and-play.

Williamson's Pick: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech
Analysis: The Bears offensive line has been problematic and Darrisaw would fit that team's mentality very well with a tough rugged style.

Lolley's Pick: Alijah Vera-Tucker, OL, USC
Analysis: Could play inside or outside. The Bears just need line help.

Prisuta's Pick: Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
Analysis: He's used to catching passes in the cold. With the addition of Bateman, the offense in Chicago might finally catch on.

Williamson's Pick: Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State
Analysis: Anthony Castonzo retired and we saw Carson Wentz having a tough go of it last year in Philadelphia with questionable offensive line play. Indianapolis would be smart to keep their new quarterback well protected.

Lolley's Pick: Jaylen Mayfield, OT, Michigan
Analysis: The Colts need a potential left tackle. They get one in Mayfield.

Prisuta's Pick: Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU
Analysis: Carson Wentz is going to have an abundance of young play-makers with which to work in Indy.

Williamson's Pick: Jayson Oweh, DE, Penn State
Analysis: The Titans pass-rush really needs addressed. Oweh is a supreme athlete off the edge that could develop into the answer of their problems.

Lolley's Pick: Joseph Ossai, EDGE, Texas
Analysis: The Titans' pass rush was nonexistent last season.

Prisuta's Pick: Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami
Analysis: The Titans lacked pass rush and coverage last season. If they rush the passer better it'll matter less who's covering.

Williamson's Pick: Alijah Vera-Tucker, OT, USC
Analysis: New York would already have their quarterback, Wilson, on board, so protecting him and improving their line with a versatile piece like Vera-Tucker makes all the sense in the world.

Lolley's Pick: Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
Analysis: A big, physical playmaker at the receiver position for a team that needs playmakers.

Prisuta's Pick: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina
Analysis: Imagine the battles with Ja'Marr Chase in training camp. Iron sharpens iron.

Williamson's Pick: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
Analysis: Harris is a great runner and would be instrumental in the Steelers rebuilding their running game. But Harris also has a lot of upside as a big receiving back.

Lolley's Pick: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
Analysis: The best running back in the draft. The early run on offensive tackles, takes that position off the board.

Prisuta's Pick: Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State
Analysis: While there could be other enticing options still on the board at other positions, Jenkins is too good for the Steelers to pass up.

Williamson's Pick: Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama
Analysis: The Jaguars are rebuilding and the defense needs most of their attention after already drafting Lawrence. This is a thin defensive tackle draft so the Jaguars grab their favorite option at the position in Barmore.

Lolley's Pick: Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State
Analysis: The Jaguars get a personal protector for Lawrence.

Prisuta's Pick: Asante Samuel Jr., CB, Florida State
Analysis: The Jaguars were actually worse on defense (No. 31) than they were on offense (No. 28) last season.

Williamson's Pick: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame
Analysis: The middle of the field on defense was problematic for Cleveland in 2020. Owusu-Koramoah runs like a safety and is very comfortable near the line of scrimmage with a ton of versatility.

Lolley's Pick: Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa
Analysis: Can play off ball or on the edge. The Browns need defensive playmakers.

Prisuta's Pick: Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama
Analysis: This is the latest the Browns have picked in the first round since 1995 (26th overall). Good thing the Alabama cupboard still won't be bare by then.

Williamson's Pick: Jaelen Phillips, DE, Miami
Analysis: Baltimore's current group of edge players could be set to be hit very hard by free agency. Phillips would be a fine addition to replenish that unit.

Lolley's Pick: Gregory Rousseau, EDGE, Miami (Fla.)
Analysis: The Ravens are in serious need of edge help.

Prisuta's Pick: Jabril Cox, ILB, LSU
Analysis: He has the versatility the Ravens crave on defense.

Williamson's Pick: Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
Analysis: Michael Thomas could use a complementary wide receiver and Bateman fits that profile perfectly and could develop into much more before long.

Lolley's Pick: Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami (Fla.)
Analysis: The Saints could go a number of ways. But an edge rusher sure helps.

Prisuta's Pick: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida
Analysis: Whoever replaces Drew Brees will need more to work with at wide receiver than Brees had last season.

Williamson's Pick: Greg Newsome, CB, Northwestern
Analysis: A wide receiver opposite Devante Adams makes a lot of sense here too, but Green Bay's lack of a second cornerback was really exposed in the playoffs.

Lolley's Pick: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida
Analysis: The Packers need an inside-outside weapon such as Toney.

Prisuta's Pick: Zaven Collins, OLB, Tulsa
Analysis: Bolstering the defensive side of the ball.

Williamson's Pick: Azeez Ojulari, DE, Georgia
Analysis: The Bills rush the passer pretty well but could use a real difference maker off the edge. Ojulari has a chance to become such a player for Buffalo.

Lolley's Pick: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame
Analysis: One of the wild cards in this first round. Undersized, but can run and cover.

Prisuta's Pick: Nick Bolton, ILB, Missouri
Analysis: Bills Mafia will be smashing tables after this pick, no matter who Buffalo selects.

Williamson's Pick: Jalen Mayfield, OT, Michigan
Analysis: Kansas City's offensive line was in shambles in the Super Bowl and it cost the Chiefs dearly. Adding Mayfield, who could start out at guard and eventually move to tackle, would really help that from happening again.

Lolley's Pick: Nick Bolton, LB, Missouri
Analysis: The Chiefs took Willie Gay last season, but their linebackers still need an upgrade.

Prisuta's Pick: Jalen Mayfield, OT, Michigan
Analysis: Remember the Super Bowl? Bet the Chiefs do.

Williamson's Pick: Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
Analysis: The Super Bowl champions have a pretty loaded roster but could possibly have a major free agent defection or two, which might force Tampa in another direction. But otherwise, Etienne greatly improved as a receiver and would give Tom Brady one more dangerous weapon.

Lolley's Pick: Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
Analysis: Adding depth to the position.

Prisuta's Pick: Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue
Analysis: Since they won't have to address quarterback for the foreseeable future, why not get ageless Tom Brady yet another weapon?
