HR 1: Playoff Scenarios for the Steelers, How Injuries Have Affected the 2024 Season

The Steelers could visit Houston or Baltimore or host the Chargers or Ravens in the first round of the playoffs depending on how Week 18 unfolds, so which outcome is the most likely and which matchup is the most favorable for the Steelers. George Pickens' untimely injury proved to be the most detrimental for the Steelers in 2024 but there were other blows throughout the season that were also costly for the team.

The Steelers offense has its easiest defensive matchup since the last time they faced the Bengals when Russ and Co scored 44 points. The Bengals beat the Broncos to force both teams into must wins in Week 18, and the Lions and Vikings have set themselves up for the final regular season matchup to determine who wins the number one overall seed in the NFC.

The Steelers had their chances against the Ravens and Chiefs the last two weeks, but game changing giveaways by Russell Wilson and clock-killing drives by the opposing offenses have left us wanting so much more from this team despite the current 10-6 record.
