HR 2: Fireside Friday – Week 14

It's cold out there so we light the fire on this Friday to discuss Bill Belichick potentially returning as a head coach, the Lions and Packers thrilling Thursday Night Football matchup, all the upcoming Week 14 action, and Tom and Jacob share who they got for the Triple Play and pick a winner for Steelers/Browns.

There were plenty of positive take aways from the Steelers victory over the Browns especially the play of Cam Heyward and Russell Wilson. Even though the Steelers got the W, George Pickens missed the game and could miss more time down the stretch which could be detrimental for the offense.

Chris Boswell's consistency has become more and more valuable with every week as he went perfect again and his opponent for the Browns missed two field goals on Sunday. The Steelers ha a massive break go their way in the 4 o'clock window when the Bills lost to the Rams on the road, but the feel good moment quickly disappeared when later on Sunday Night Football the Chiefs snuck away with another win against the Chargers.

Russell Wilson needs to channel his offensive prowess that he displayed last week in Cincinnati instead of the performance he had in Cleveland two weeks ago when it took until the fourth quarter for him to come alive. TJ Watt typically steps up in AFC North matchups but the last time the Steelers faced the Browns it was Myles Garrett who was the best edge rusher, so TJ needs to bounce back in a big way this week.

Since Russell Wilson has taken over the starting quarterback role for the Steelers, the offense has looked night-and-day different compared to the offense we've had to watch struggle through game ever since Ben Roethlisberger suffered his elbow injury in 2019.

Tom and Jacob try to predict how the seedings in the AFC and NFC will fill out with only five weeks remaining, and they rank their top ten teams heading into the fourteenth week of the season.

The Steelers have been used to winning games the hard way in tough fought grudge matches, but that wasn't the case this past weekend when Russell Wilson let it rip and torched the weak Bengals defense and led the Steelers to their best offensive output in points and yards since 2018.

The season premiere of the AFC North Hard Knocks aired last night and there was no mistaking who was the biggest star of the show: Mike Tomlin. Week 13 provided a lot of NFL action including a full turkey day of football, and the Ravens losing at home to Philadelphia after Justin Tucker continued his kicking struggles.
