CHRIS BOSWELL
Placekicker
CINCINNATI – Last week, Le'Veon Bell set a franchise record for rushing yards in a game. Today, Chris Boswell tied Jeff Reed and Gary Anderson for the franchise record for field goals in a game with six. And the Steelers needed that kind of performance from their kicker on a day when they were just 1-for-5 in the red zone. Four of Boswell's six field goals were from 45-plus yards out, and three of them were from 49 yards out. Every one of them turned out to be critical in what turned into a 24-20 victory for the Steelers over the Bengals.
Boswell is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.
Also considered were Eli Rogers, who caught five passes for 75 yards and the team's only touchdown; Ryan Shazier, who had eight tackles, his second interception of the season, plus another pass defensed; Le'Veon Bell, who carried 23 times for 93 yards and caught five passes for 38 more yards to finish with 131 yards from scrimmage; Ladarius Green, who caught five passes for 72 yards; and Ryan Shazier, who had five tackles, the team's only sack, two additional pressures, and a pass defensed.
