Antonio Brown is one of the dominant receivers in the NFL, and further evidence of that surfaced when he was selected to the Associated Press 2016 NFL All-Pro Team, one of the biggest honors given to an NFL player.
Brown was named first-team All-Pro for the third consecutive year, while teammates Le'Veon Bell and David DeCastro were second-team All-Pro selections.
Brown finished second in the NFL in total receptions with 106, finishing just behind Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald who had 107 receptions. Brown was fifth in the league in total yardage with 1,284 yards.
Brown, who was selected to the Pro Bowl for the fifth time including four consecutive years, became the first player in team history with 1,000 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns in three straight seasons (2014-16), and the first player in team history to record 90 receptions in four straight seasons.
Bell, who was a first-team selection in 2014, earned second-team honors while playing in only 12 games this season. Bell finished the 2016 regular season with 261 carries for 1,268 yards, a 4.9-yard average, and seven touchdowns. He also had 75 receptions for 616 yards and two touchdowns.
DeCastro, who was a first-team selection in 2015, has been a key cog in Bell's success on the ground, as well as the overall success of the offense.
The AP All-Pro Team is selected by a panel of 50 voters who select the top player, regardless of conference, at each position.
